Coursework

Your mum has requested that you help to prepare a simple nutritious dish (main course, accompaniment, dessert, snack etc.) for both your younger sister and you. She has given you $10 to purchase the ingredients at the neighbourhood supermarket. Plan your lunch menu, taking into account the given budget.   Explain your choice of ingredients used and the dish you have decided to cook.

Reflection

I think I baked my chicken pie alright for Lesson 7 except for the fact that I should have left it slightly longer so that the pastry would be fully cooked. I chose this as a snack for my sister. Her BMI is within a healthy range but even if it is in a healthy range, she should also eat healthy so it should be a suitable snack for her. I also could get the ingredients below $10 and the snack is not time-consuming and could be done within 1 hour. I think I managed my time alright as I did get to finish on time. The skill for me to bake this is pastry-making.

Ingredients

Ingredients:
200g of Flour
100g of Butter
Pinch of Salt
Chicken fillet
Capsicum
Onion
Cheese Carrot
Milk
Peas

Mini Cheesy Chicken Pie

Serving: 2

It is a snack for two people. It is healthier than the ones sold outside as I made the pastry from scratch while outside, it would be processed pastry which has more fats and layers.
